Dr Cath Spencer-Smith, Sports Doctor, Sportsdoc London: “I’m a mere mortal century marathoner and ironman triathlete, and I get how important running is to you and how frustrating it can be when injury gets in the way of your passion. I’m a sports medicine doctor and I work with Olympians, weekend warriors and people just starting out on their running journey. I’ve been a Sports Physician at the 2012 Olympic Games, the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and I’ve worked with GB track and field teams, rowers, triathletes and Olympic divers. I have a particular interest in helping runners who have hip and groin pain, or who have been held back by stress fractures or persistent problem that just won’t go away. I like nothing better than having a natter about running with my patients.”
