Rebecca graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy in 2001. She has since been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London and holds a Diploma from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. In addition to her physiotherapy qualifications she is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor.
Rebecca has worked in a wide range of settings including NHS hospitals, hydrotherapy clinics and general practice. She has also been the Director of a busy City clinic.
In 2007 Rebecca supplemented her clinical skills with experience as a research physiotherapist on a nationwide study focusing on the care of people suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME.
Rebecca specialises in the areas of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, post-surgery and rehabilitation physiotherapy. She also has interests in sports biomechanics, including running technique and spinal pain related to poor posture. Ask her how changing your desk set up could relieve your pain!
As a mother of two, Rebecca can share her first-hand experience of how physiotherapy and Pilates provide an excellent foundation for rebuilding your core stability during post-natal recovery.
Rebecca finds that incorporating manual physiotherapy, Pilates, specific exercise prescription and high level rehab, her patients can achieve the best possible outcomes.
