Michelle’s passion is in reducing pain and enabling her patients to recover from injury, move more efficiently, return to full fitness and optimise their performance. Her area of expertise is in the assessment and treatment of movement dysfunction, and working with clients to improve their mobility, strength and control in recovery from or prevent injury.
She has an excellent reputation with leading Orthopaedic Consultants and Sports Doctors for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions as well as rehabilitation after surgery.
She has completed courses in both mat work and equipment-based Pilates which she incorporates into her treatments as well as carrying out one to one Pilates sessions. She is experienced in working with antenatal women and has studied Pilates in Pregnancy.
Michelle also has a certificate in Strength and Conditioning Training which she applies to her specialist interest in high level function and movement to sports injuries whether incurred in the gym, on the running track or on the mountain (skiers and boarders.)
Hypermobility is also an area of specialism in part due to her specialist Pilates and Strength and Conditioning approach.
Michelle is qualified in dry needling (AKA acupuncture) and uses this as well as effective manual therapy skills and taping to tackle pain. This compliments her vast knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and exercise-based treatments enabling her to provide tailor made programmes to ensure her patients recover as rapidly as possible.
Her ultimate goal is to arm her clients with the understanding and tools on how to make their bodies work for them, and how to reduce the risk of injury in the long term.
Outside of the clinic Michelle likes to practice yoga to unwind. She is a keen skier, adrenaline junkie and enjoys doing cartwheels at any opportunity. Michell is a passionate football fan and proud season ticket holder for Spurs… a true labour of love!
