Laura Fidler

Chartered Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) MSCP HPC

Laura graduated from Kings College London in 2005 and kickstarted her physiotherapy career working at Guys and St Thomas Hospital where she developed strong links with some of Londons top Orthopaedic Consultants. She developed expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for all age groups and activity levels, post-operative recovery in particular post knee, shoulder, hip, foot and ankle surgery, fracture management, vestibular rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and chronic pain. She then moved into private practice where she expanded her skills and knowledge in sports injuries, biomechanics and high level rehabilitation. She continued to build on her excellent reputation with consultants and patients alike and drew on her personal experience as a triathlete to develop this area of specialism. She has worked for Rosslyn Park RFU and Henley Hawks RFU and has more recently worked as physiotherapist and coach with a Triathlon team called Tri Training Harder, working with top amateur and elite athletes.

She has been competing in Triathlons for the GB Age Group team since 2012. She has competed in 2 Europeans championships, 3 World Championships and various National level competitions. She competed in her first Ironman 70.3 event this year where she placed 3rd in her age group and is continuing to train and race over this distance, where she hopes to qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2016.

When she is not training she enjoys visiting her parents (farmers) and taking in the fresh air of the great outdoors and is equally happy at the cinema, cooking at home (or even better being cooked for) and eating pizza, Japanese food and, well any kind of food really!

Laura’s combined interest in people and sport make her a highly competent and forward thinking clinician. She is passionate about getting people active, keeping people moving and allowing people to return to the activities that they love – whether that involves doing an Iron Man triathlon, being able to sit at the cinema pain free or anything in between.
