Joseph Badham

Chartered Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MSc (Sports and Exercise Medicine)

If you have complex pain or an overuse injury like a tendinopathy (AKA tendinitis,) especially if you have had physiotherapy elsewhere that hasn’t worked, then Joe’s ability to get quickly to the source of the problem, explain it clearly and treat it quickly is exactly what you need. Here is one of his many five-star google reviews:

‘Just 10 days before the London Marathon I managed to pick up a knee injury by twisting my lateral meniscus. It was so painful and I couldn’t walk for 5 days. I managed to get an appointment with Joe Badham at the Octopus Clinic. After 2 appointments with some treatment and getting my confidence back I was able to do the Marathon! Joe was amazing and so friendly and gave me the belief that I could do it. My knee has recovered fantastically and I really can’t thank him enough and I would definitely recommend this physio practice (and Joe!) to everyone. Claire, London Marathon runner.’

Joseph holds a BSc in Physiotherapy and an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine and has a wealth of experience in sports and musculoskeletal physio. He is qualified to deliver acupuncture and dry needling and he is a trained injection therapist.

Joseph started out his career working in professional football where he worked alongside the academy and the first team squad. It is here that he began to develop his passion for sporting related injuries, in particular, lower limb overuse injuries.

Alongside elite sport, Joseph has worked within private city clinics treating a variety of individuals. Joseph treats pain and dysfunction using hands-on manipulative therapy and cutting edge rehabilitation techniques which he has acquired through a number of carefully selected settings throughout his career. Joseph brings these skills to the Octopus Clinic having worked alongside a number of professional sports teams within football, swimming and rugby league.

Joseph’s Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine brings advanced knowledge and clinical skills to his practice. He believes that everybody deserves the highest quality of care regardless of activity or skill ability. Outside of clinical practice, Joseph enjoys boxing and water activities, such as paddle boarding and surfing (although his enthusiasm far outweighs his skill level!)
